Lantern Scholar Application

This form is for students only and is due on July 15: If you are a school counselor or CBO partner and would like to nominate a student for the Lantern Scholars program, please use our nomination form.

The Lantern Scholars Program is a fly-in program at Bryn Mawr College that invites rising seniors from first-generation and limited-income backgrounds to visit campus, stay in residence halls, attend classes, and explore student life at a liberal arts women’s college. Lantern Scholars will participate in an overnight program on the following dates:

Saturday, September 26–Monday, September 28

You must be available for the dates of the event to participate in this program.

Please review this application and the required documents before starting the application. You must answer all required questions and submit all documents (if applicable) in one sitting. This form cannot be saved and finished at a later time.

You are required to submit the following documents with this application:
  • Unofficial high school transcript
  • Intended senior year courses
  • Link to or copy of school profile
  • Résumé
The following materials are optional for students to submit with this application:
  • Letter of recommendation from counselor or CBO mentor
